Marijuana ButterMarijuana Butter

Marijuana butter is a healthy alternative to smoking or vaporizing your medical marijuana.  The effects do not set in as rapidly as vaporizing, but they do last longer and it is more of a whole body stone then a complete head high.

People that use marijuana for pain have mentioned that the relief of consuming their medication worked some what better then vaporizing.  While there are no current clinical studies regarding the effectiveness of alternative consumption methods, such as marijuana butter, many marijuana patients find marijuana butter to be effective alternatives to smoking or vaporizing.

One crucial thing that you must remember is to use REAL butter, not that fake store bought spread, vegan butter, margarine, or any other type butter substitute.  Anything but using real butter will make your marijuana butter sub-standard.

The Cannabis must be heated to activate it’s effects in edible form.  This is often accomplished while infusing your marijuana into your marijuana butter.  Which can then be used as an ingredient in cooking, baking or as a spread.

The ratio between butter and marijuana should be about 3.5 to 7 grams of dried marijuana per stick (1/2 Cup) of butter.  This ratio will yield a great tasting and effective marijuana butter.  The higher the THC content of your marijuana, the more potent your butter will be.  Tilray has multiple strains that will allow you to choose your THCMarijuana Butter level and create the best marijuana butter for you.

The will be exploring 2 methods for creating your marijuana butter.  The first is the stove top method and the second is the slow cooker method.  The stove top method, while quicker, means you are more likely to burn off temperature-sensitive cannabinoids.  To prevent this from happening the butter mixture must remain between 93.3 C (200 F) and 121 C (250 F).  The slow cooker method means a much longer wait time, but requires less active cooking time which means you don’t have to watch the temperature the whole time.  Both methods work great and you can choose which best suits you.
