Rosemary and Dijon Hamburger w/ Bacon
More often then not no one wants to cook in the summer time, am I right?
That’s why the best burger recipe was created!! We knew that you would need something delicious and normal for you to eat, while you were watching what you are eating.
We call it the best burger recipe because it is a nice and light burger and is gluten free. It’s not gluten free because we shout in your face about eating gluten free, it just happens that we use quick oats instead of bread crumbs in our best burger recipe. The oats hold more moisture and create a juicier burger.
The best ground beef to use, when making any burger, is Medium to Lean. You don’t really want to use extra lean because you do need some fat for a nice juicy burger. But if you must have extra lean ground beef for our best burger recipe then please at least chop up some bacon and throw it in there.
Another tip to remember when making any kind of burger, the ratio of eggs is roughly 1 egg per pound of meat.
The fun about cooking is adding ingredients that you like and at the ratio that you like them. You can add or remove whatever flavors that you enjoy….within moderation. The best burger recipe uses grainy dijon mustard, but you can use smooth in place of the grainy, if you like. As well we use smoked sea salt in our best burger recipe yet any sea salt will do.
Ingredients for our Rosemary-Dijon Best Burger Recipe:
- 2 Lbs – Ground Beef
- 2 – Eggs
- 60 ml – Quick Oats
- 1/2 C – Red Onions Chopped
- 60 ml – Grainy Dijon Mustard
- 3 TBSP – Rosemary Chopped
- 2-3 Garlic Cloves Minced
- Couple good pinches of Smoked Sea Salt
- A couple good turns on the pepper mill
Directions for our Best Burger Recipe:
Mix all prepared ingredients together in a mixing bowl, mix until all ingredients are mixed and stop. (Do not over mix)
Shape burgers to desired size and shape. It’s really up to you how big you like them but you should try to stay with in the 6-8 oz area.
Cook to at least 160 degrees Fahrenheit. You might like it over or under a couple degrees but you should stay within that area.
Give the meat at least 5-10 minutes to rest a little bit before digging in, you want the juices to settle in and get all comfy in their new burger home before the juices are dripping off your chin onto your shirt 🙂
Serve with fresh healthy sides and this Rosemary-Dijon Best Burger Recipe will have you feeling ready to keep the summer nights going with the family!!
Enjoy this Rosemary-Dijon Burger and we are sure you will add it to your best burger recipe collection.
