Welcome to our Infused Water post. Water is the most important piece to your overall health and well being. Although most people find drinking water to be boring, you can create infused waters. Infused water is a great way to switch up how you intake your water. By simply adding a few vegetables, fruits, or herbs your water will go from boring to amazing infused water in seconds.
The human body is made up of 55-60% water. We naturally lose water throughout the day, which is why we need to replenish our bodies with at least 1.5 litres of fresh water daily.
Your body can survive up to 3 weeks without food, but without water, the body can only survive 3-5 days. Yet, we seem to neglect drinking enough water. By the time you feel thirsty, your body has lost more than 1 percent of its total water. Make sure to drink plenty of water before you feel thirsty, and try infused water when you want some extra flavor.
Water is the life line to healthy living as it;
- Helps create saliva, which aids in digestion
- Flushes your bodies waste through urine
- Helps deliver oxygen throughout the body
- Allows your body’s cells to grow, reproduce, and survive
- Lubricates internal joints
- Water is the major component of most of your body parts
Try adding your favorite fruits, veggies, or herbs to give your water the wake up you want! There is no real recipe for infusions, use your favorite flavors and put them in your water 🙂
Pineapple & Orange
The combination of oranges and pineapples in your infused water will have you feeling like your sipping on a tropical drink. Pineapples and oranges are a great source of Vitamin C.
Strawberry & Kiwi
These two flavors compliment each other so well that you might not need any of the other infused water recipes! You do not need to peel the kiwi for the infused water. You can however, eat the skin of a kiwi if you wish, but it’s not to tasty.
Lemon, Lime, and Orange
These citrus flavors have your taste buds doing a dance of joy. These flavors in your infused water will have you feeling like your day just got a little more brighter and cheerful. Just looking at those beautiful colors will make you smile 🙂
Cucumber & Lemon
To me cucumbers have very little taste. Yet, as soon as I put two to three cucumber slices in my water, the whole water tastes like cucumber. Now add a few Lemons and you’ve balanced the taste and are left with an amazing infused water.
Raspberry & Lime
Berries add a great flavor to your infused water and are the ultimate in ease. Just wash some berries off and pop them in your water bottle. Easy peasy lemon squeezy 🙂 Then you can add some limes for some added flavor.
I hope you have enjoyed this quick introduction to infused water and I hope you will enjoy more water now. Remember, just by drinking the proper amount of water you will begin to feel better.
